I am offering our lovely 13 year old Icelandic mare (born on 13.06.2011) for sale, who is perfect for leisure riding.
Dottla vom Hohen Holz, but we just call her Dotty or Lotti, is ideal for riders who are looking for a reliable and friendly horse to enjoy relaxed rides, for example. But that's not all she can do. We have jumped together, done a lot of ground work and also broken her in a bit so that she can pull a sledge, for example, without any problems. She really does everything. No matter what new ideas we sometimes had. Children have also ridden Dotty a lot, but it is important that Dotty has a caregiver with good assertiveness, because sometimes the well-known pony head can come out :-) She can actually tölt and pass, but she does it very rarely. We usually only work with her in the three basic gaits. Dotty was last vaccinated in 2024 (tetanus, influenza and herpes), and she is happy to be blacked and loaded. She currently has two shoes on the front. However, she is also familiar with being shod without shoes and with full shoes. According to her equine passport, Dotty has the color "Isabell". She is approx. 132cm tall. Unfortunately, Dotty suffers from eczema in summer, but this can be kept under control with the right care. She gets along very well without an eczema rug, only in extreme summers does she wear a fly rug (see picture). Otherwise she is very healthy. About 9 years ago Dotty gave birth to a lovely and healthy foal. She is also registered in the studbook. She herself is from the "ZUCHTVERBAND FÜR DEUTSCHE PFERDE E.V". Dotty knows pasture, open stables and boxes. She currently lives at a wonderful stud farm where she is outside during the day and comes into the box at night. She is low in rank and always gets on very well with the other horses.
