The balls, filled with water or air, are positioned under the thighs, arms, or buttocks. The resulting change in riding posture leads to greater mobility, and tension or blockages can be released. The newly gained body awareness makes the rider aware of their seating issues and new, improved movement possibilities.

A rider often doesn’t notice a lopsided or stiff posture because the human brain constantly tries to compensate for it. Before long, one becomes accustomed to this “incorrect” body awareness, and it starts to feel completely normal. When riding with the Franklin Balls, the rider can develop a sense of what feels correct. The riding seat should be viewed as a complex, interconnected system.
