Some month ago we adopted this beautiful gentle thoroughbred mare when she was in no good condition some month ago. She just don't want to take weight and muscles easily, so forgive the skinnyness of this beauty, but it has been improving steadily and will continue so.
she needs some special love and care and training which is difficult for us to provide on the island and why I search a good home for her
She has a gorgeous character: self-confident; courageous, mindful, a mind reader, easy to ride, just beautiful all over. she is absolutely gorgeous with other horses, making friends very easy, no drama.
she has never competed in races, but also never had proper training. you can ride her and trust her absolutely. she is very sensitive and clever, and has beautiful movements. we took her on trails and ride western pleasure She likes to jump very much. (I did not jump with her, but I see her enjoying it and searching for jumps) I can imagine her in cross country very well!
You can literally trust this mare in every situation, she will not get scared and run off. (I had big dogs jumping out behind a corner attacking me and she just made a little hop to the side, (thank you!)) Generally I did not find anything yet that this young mare is scared of. She goes out hacking alone or in company.you can easily gallop 🏇 without drama.
She is very clever, sensitive and learns fast. I did many things with her for the first time like lounging, ground work, little jumps and pools, clipping, fly spray, riding with voice commands etc - she picks it up super fast.
She's a true calm anchor. She came to our herd, was super friendly and respectful and just magically went up to be the leader by being strong and trustworthy without ever even trying. that really sums up her personality. my arabic mare and her are true best friends, because she aint scared of anything, arabic mare scared and tempered about everything. its like she gives her strength and confidence, and she does the same to humans.
I can imagine this mare perfectly for someone who is not feeling always the most self-confident and gets maybe easily scared or stressed with hot horses or simply just a young rider. this young girl will make you to feel safe enough to grow. or bether grow together.. You can also have much fun with her if you wake her up and tell her mentally: hi, i want something from you. its like she goes to a mentaly different level and you feel the energy below you, and her ready to run immediately.
I normally want to keep her, I don't want to sell her at all but due to personal reasons I don't find the time anymore for looking after more than 1 horse, which is why I am trying to reduce the 3 to 1... 🥹
So she shall go to a better fitting place and get the most love that she deserves.
We live in Greece, but since I primarily want a home for the sensitive mare, where someone really wants a horse as a partner, she is cheap (at the same price as I have her for sale on the island here in Greece) to give. You would have to take care of the transport and everything else. The transport would cost about 3000 euros from an agency, or you just pick her up yourself.
I think a visit or transport etc. can be combined well with a short vacation on our beautiful island. Even if you come here and decide against it in the end (I can not imagine) but even then there are plenty of other horses on the island for sale 😅
I know her very well, let us speak, I never know what to write about horses, they have so much to offer. Anyway If you are interested in a beautiful sound young thoroughbred, that needs some training and work but does not have crazy behavior to fix like the ones from the race track, she should be perfect for you.
