Icelandic horse mare - Selling my 22 year old Icelandic horse mare with papers (foal had 1st price) at a reasonable price incl. accessories (purchase price at that time 6000Euro).
She is an absolute reliable horse and was used for therapeutic riding and leisure riding for 14 years. She is a 5-gaited horse with lots of natural tölt, but has had a cartilage injury (cause unknown, x-rays and treatment plan available) in her left knee since September 2025. According to the vet, with a lot of consistent training she could compensate for the injury by building up the muscles in her hindquarters. However, as I have little or no time due to my private and professional situation, it is not possible for me to do this. It is therefore with a heavy heart that I have decided to find a place for her that she deserves. It can be used for therapeutic interventions despite injury. Children up to 40 kg can ride her. She is not only well-behaved, but also an excellent therapy horse. She could also be used as a companion horse. Ground work and walks are possible. Price negotiable for best place. After clarification with the vet, there is also the possibility to start an attempt to have her covered before she turns 24 (May 2028).
