Rhinelander chestnut gelding - After much deliberation and with a heavy heart, I have decided to sell my 10-year-old, 1.75m chestnut gelding to the best place. I ride him dressage recreationally, he goes out alone and in groups. He loves ground work/work in hand, at the moment we are practicing lateral movements and collection with the beginnings of piaffe from the ground and in the saddle, where he is very motivated and learns quickly. He still needs a consistent partner, however, as he is not a self-starter and occasionally tests his limits by not going forward. He is not a beginner's horse or beginners find it difficult. He doesn't know how to climb or buck. He is easy to handle and simply a big gobshite that you have to love. He's good at forging and, thanks to regular training, he's also good at loading. Now and again he still refuses, but if he continues to be trained regularly, I don't see any problems there. He is shod front and back, as he tends to have long toes at the front, he needs shoes at the front. Scintigraphy from 2024 available. Last year he had a slight hoof joint inflammation due to being shod too quickly, which healed after a few months. Apart from that, he was never ill and always perfectly healthy. Regularly vaccinated and wormed + annual dental check. I charge 20 euros for a test ride, which will of course be credited when you buy. Location 944. Price negotiable
